Advanced Level 2 - The World Around Us

Students starting on this level of the program need to have a good understanding of English, be able to speak English and have a good knowledge of basic English grammar and language skills.

On Advanced Level 2 students learn about “The World Around Us”.

In these classes we continue to teach new English words to expand the English vocabulary of the student. Students can print out the English words and definitions, which are included in their Prep Packs, to build an extensive English dictionary for themselves.

In class, students write sentences that can be used in everyday conversation (using the words introduced in the lesson).

Students are given homework assignments where they need to do their own research and then present their findings and opinions on the topic.

We use a “spelling game” to practice spelling.

We include English educational videos for a better understanding and to enhance the learning experience.

After each lesson, there is a game to review everything taught in the lesson, like this general knowledge quiz game.

Other games are also used to revise.

There are exercises to practice new English grammar introduced or to review previous grammar taught. There are exercises used to practice and to determine if the student understands and knows how to apply what they have learnt.
