Day 13 – Saturday 27th January 2018 – Make All Your Wishes Come True

Start the day
Write down 10 new Blessings and why you are grateful for them. Read each one repeating “thank you, thank you, thank you“, feeling gratitude for each one.

By now we should be familiar with feeling gratitude for what we have. Remember the important word here is “feeling”. We must feel gratitude in order to release that energy. Today is about using the energy of gratitude in a new way. Today we are going to feel gratitude, not for what we have, but for what we want in our lives.

There are many cultures in the world where thanks is given for what has been asked for before receiving it. A good example of this is documented in the Bible where Jesus gave thanks before performing a miracle. He believed and had no doubt that what he was asking for would be received.

We need to have the same conviction when feeling gratitude and giving thanks for something we have not yet received.

A good way to put this into practice is to use your imagination and visualise having already received what you are being thankful for. Imagine how you would feel, what you would think, what you would do and what you would say. Put yourself completely in that moment receiving whatever it is you want. Would you feel excited, would you feel happy, would you feel like shouting for joy? And would you not also feel overwhelming gratitude?

Go back to the list you made at the start of this Gratitude Journey of everything you want in your life. (Health and Body, Career and Work, Money, Relationships, Personal Desires, Material Things). If you have not yet made this “Want List” or “Wish List” make it now. Click on this link to view our Blog post that covers the Want List.

Now go through your Want List and select your top 10 Wants, wishes or desires. These can be from any category or categories. You can choose them all from one category if that is an area of your life you want to focus on enriching.

Write these down in a new list, but with an important difference. Express your thanks for having received them.

“Thank you, thank you, thank you for . . . . . . . . .” add in your desire as though you have received it.

Here are a few examples.

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you for the money to pay for my overseas trip. I am so excited to be going.
  • Thank you, thank you, thank you for my promotion to management at work. I can’t wait to move into my new office .
  • Thank you, thank you, thank you for my perfect partner who has all the qualities I want in a partner and who loves me for who I am.

In the second step of today’s practice take each desire or wish on your top 10 list and answer the following questions, imagining that you have received your desire.

1. What emotions did you feel when you received your desire?
2. Who was the first person you told and how did you tell them?
3. What is the first great thing you did after receiving your desire? Give as much detail as possible.

Do this for each of your top 10 desires spending at least a minute on each one.

Something extra
Rhonda Byrne suggests in order for this to be more effective you can also make a Magic Board or Vision Board. Put pictures of your desires and wishes on a board and place it somewhere you will see it often. Write “THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU” in big letters across the top of your board. Whenever you can, look at one of the pictures and say “thank you, thank you, thank you” for having received that desire. Imagine how you would feel, imagine how your life would change.

End the day
When you go to bed tonight hold your Magic Rock in your hand. Close your fingers around it and feel it. Think of all the good things that have happened today. Choose the best good thing that happened and, feeling as grateful as you can, say “thank you, thank you, thank you“.
