Write down 10 new Blessings and why you are grateful for them. Read each one repeating “thank you, thank you, thank you“, feeling gratitude for each one.
We all would like to have perfect health. To have a healthy body and a healthy mind. We never want to be sick or ailing because we want to be pain-free, fit, strong, capable and healthy.
You can attract good physical and mental health by using gratitude.
We found a very interesting article entitled “How Gratitude can change your life” while researching for this post. The article is written by Nicole Van Groningen, MD, and highlights documented studies on the benefits of gratitude with regards to health.
In one of the studies, test subjects were instructed to practice expressions of gratitude over a period of time. Tests confirmed that they reported less ailments such as headaches or upset stomachs.
In another study, patients with heart failure were asked to keep a gratitude journal. After a few months all the patients showed improved cardiac test results. We strongly suggest you read this article. It is well worth it.
Well, back to today’s Magical Practice.
It is difficult to feel positive about a health condition, or less-than-perfect state of a part of our body. But when we are feeling negative about our health, we are not attracting anything positive to our health. And we are not attracting anything positive because we are not feeling grateful. When we are complaining about or critical of our bodies or health we are merely attracting more to complain about or be critical of with regards to our health.
Rhonda Byrne explains the three steps of today’s practice.
Step 1: Health You’ve Received (past)
Think about the great health you have received throughout your childhood, adolescence, and adult life. Think about the times when you felt full of energy, and you were happy. Recollect three separate times in your mind when you felt on top of the world, say the magic words, thank you, and feel sincere gratitude for those times. If you think back to the big moments in your life, you will be able to recollect three separate times very easily.
Step 2: Health You’re Continuing to Receive (present)
Think about the health you are continuing to receive today, and feel grateful for every organ, system, and physical sense that is currently working well in your body. Think about your arms, legs, hands, eyes, ears, liver, kidneys, brain, or heart. Choose five functions of your body that are well, and one by one, mentally say the magic words, “thank you“, for each one.
Step 3: Health You Want to Receive (future)
Choose one thing about your body that you want to improve. Imagine the ideal state of what you want to improve and give thanks by saying the magic words, “ thank you, thank you, thank you” for having received that ideal state.
Most people, when diagnosed with a disease or condition, always talk about it, bring it up in conversation, think constantly about it, research it and discuss it. The bad news is that by focusing so much energy on the disease or condition, they are attracting more of it into their bodies.
The Law of Attraction states that you will attract that on which you focus. Take a minute and visualise yourself with the ideal state of your body that you want. And as you see yourself in your mind (the way you want to be) be grateful as though you have received it.
If you want to restore health to any part of your body, feel gratitude for that part functioning perfectly. Your organs, your blood, your heart. Re-read Day 4 on Magical Health to remind you of how wonderfully the parts of your body function. Imagine yourself in the state of whatever it is you want for your body, as though you have received it, and be thankful and grateful for receiving it.
If, for example, you want to get to your perfect weight or shape, think about the ideal weight or shape that you want to be, imagine yourself in that state, and give thanks as though have received it now. Say “thank you, thank you, thank you for my ideal weight.”
Do this every day, multiple times, if you want to and truly feel thankful for having received what you want. You will attract the health you desire.
End the day
When you go to bed tonight hold your Magic Rock in your hand. Close your fingers around it and feel it. Think of all the good things that have happened today. Choose the best good thing that happened and, feeling as grateful as you can, say “thank you, thank you, thank you“.
