Write down 10 new Blessings and why you are grateful for them. Read each one repeating “thank you, thank you, thank you“, feeling gratitude for each one.
Being grateful for the money you have
Remember Day 5 – Magic Money and Day 9 – The Money Magnet? How complaining about a lack of money will only attract more financial circumstances about which to complain? Complaining is negative, it is not being grateful for the money you do have.
To change your focus on money from being a negative to a positive one you must be grateful for your money, and, any circumstances which enrich you, no matter whether it is in a small way or a big way.
The more grateful you are, the more circumstances you will attract for which you can be grateful. So, any time you receive money, be grateful. Any time you save money through a discount, be grateful. Whenever you receive a gift which cost money, be grateful. When someone pays for your meal, your drinks, a night out, or pays towards your petrol, be grateful.
Once you are feeling gratitude for the money you do have, the next step is to feel grateful for the money you want.
The Blank Cheque
For today’s practice download and print the blank Magic cheque from the Gratitude Bank of the Universe (at the bottom of this page). Fill in the amount of money you wish to receive, your name and today’s date.
Rhonda Byrne suggests that you fill in a specific amount of money for something you really want. It is easier to be grateful for money when you have a definite goal in your mind as to what you are going to use the money for. Money is a means by which to get what you want. It is not the end result.
So imagine receiving the money you need and imagine buying the car you want. Imagine buying the refrigerator, the television, the computer, the clothes, the camera or whatever it is you want the money for. Will you use the money to go on that overseas trip, your dream holiday? Will you be investing the money for the interest? The amount can be small or big. Maybe you just want enough money to buy an item of clothing you really like.
You can start with a small amount and once you have received that, make out another cheque for another specific goal. You can repeat this practice endlessly. The advantage of starting with small amounts is that this will confirm the part your gratitude played in receiving the money and it will become easier and easier with larger and larger amounts. Your gratitude and belief in this practice will increase with each cheque.
Being Grateful for the money you want
Once you have filled out the cheque, hold it in your hands and imagine yourself walking into the store and buying what you want, or booking your flight and paying for it at the travel agent.
Imagine how you would feel at that moment. You would be excited, happy and extremely grateful. So feel that excitement, happiness and gratitude and say “thank you, thank you, thank you” for having received the money you want.
Take the cheque with you today, or put it somewhere you will see it often. As often as you can, hold it in your hands and imagine using the money for what you want and feel the gratitude saying “thank you, thank you, thank you.”
A good idea if you are at a computer most of the day is to make the Gratitude cheque your background wallpaper or screensaver.
After today, do this a few times every day and feel the gratitude.
End the day
When you go to bed tonight hold your Magic Rock in your hand. Close your fingers around it and feel it. Think of all the good things that have happened today. Choose the best good thing that happened and, feeling as grateful as you can, say “thank you, thank you, thank you“.
