Start the day
Write down 10 new Blessings and why you are grateful for them. Read each one repeating “thank you, thank you, thank you“, feeling gratitude for each one.
Wanting more money.
This can be an uncomfortable concept for some of us. We can experience various feelings and emotions, like feeling selfish, undeserving, not worthy and even guilty for wanting material things, or more money than we have because that would make us greedy. Yet, we all, if we are honest, would want to have more money because that would enable us to live a better life, live the lifestyle we want, have the house or car we want, have a closet of shoes and clothing not forgetting the dream holidays. The list can be endless of the things we would want if money could buy it.
The lack of money in our lives can, and mostly does, bring about the worst of feelings. Feelings of being deprived, worry and fear, feelings of envy, of disappointment, feelings of failure, helplessness and even depression.
So how do we use gratitude to attract more money into our lives?
Simple. Rhonda Byrne reminds us that what we feel, is what we attract. So, always thinking “I don’t have enough money.” is merely going to attract more “not having enough money”. Feeling despair and dissatisfaction about how much money you do not have is going to attract . . . . yep, you’ve guessed it. More of the same.
Thinking and feeling that you do not have enough money means that you are not being grateful for the money that you do have. You are in fact, without realizing it, practicing “un-gratitude”. And that, my friends, is not going to attract anything good into your lives.
So, Rhonda Byrne says, in”The Magic”, to think of times in your childhood, when you did not have money of your own, yet still received what you needed or wanted. Make a list of these memories and say “thank you, thank you, thank you” for each one, feeling true gratitude.
She lists the following examples.
- Did you have food to eat?
- Did you live in a home?
- Did you receive an education?
- Did you go on any vacations with your family?
- What were the most exciting birthday gifts you received?
- Did you have a bike, toys, or pets?
- Did you have clothes to wear?
- Did you go to the movies, play sports, learn a musical instrument, or pursue a hobby?
- Did you go to the doctor or dentist and take medicine when you were not well?
- Did you have daily essentials like your toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, and shampoo?
- Did you travel in a car?
- Did you watch television, make phone calls, use lights, electricity, and water?
These are things which cost money, yet you received them without having any money yourself. Be truly thankful and grateful for the money that provided for you when you were a child.
Now that you are an adult, also feel gratitude for the money you do have and what you are able to do with the money you have. Make a list. Here are some examples.
- If you have a car, be grateful for having the money to be able to own one.
- If you live in a house be grateful for the money you have which is making that possible.
- When you take a hot shower, be grateful that you have the money to pay your electricity bill.
- If you have enough money to go out for a meal, be thankful for the money you have which makes that possible.
- Are you able to feed and clothe your family, be thankful for the money to go grocery shopping and clothing shopping.
- Do you sleep in a warm comfortable bed, be grateful for the money that paid for your bed and your bedding.
- If you are paying for your children to be educated, be thankful for having the money to do so.
- If you own a mobile phone and a data bundle which allows you to communicate with your friends, be thankful for having the money to pay for that.
- And so the list goes on…………………….., All the things we have now that we are able to afford.
Every time you experience something which was paid for with money you do have, say thank you, thank you, thank you.
Once you are grateful and thankful for the money you do have, you are opening the door for receiving money, not only for the things you have now, but also for the things you want. (the things on your WANT LIST).
Take a note of money, in whatever currency you use, and put a sticker on it. On the sticker write the following –
THANK YOU FOR ALL THE MONEY I’VE BEEN GIVEN THROUGHOUT MY LIFE
Put the note in your wallet, purse or pocket and during the course of the day take it out at least twice or as many times as you want to, hold it in your hand and read the words. Feel truly thankful and grateful for the money you have been given in your life.
After today, place this note somewhere where you will see it often to remind you to be grateful for the money you have been given.
Rhonda Byrne also tells us that if you ever find yourself complaining about the lack of money (in your thoughts or words), stop yourself immediately. Break the habit of complaining as this is only attracting more of what you are complaining about.
She also asks us to make a promise that from today onward, we will be truly grateful for any money we receive. Whether it is a salary, a gift of money, a gift which costs money, a discount or refund. Anything received which has monetary value. Being grateful for money received will bring more money into your life.
End the day
Place your note of money with the sticker somewhere where you will see it often to remind you to be grateful for the money you have been given throughout your life.
When you go to bed tonight hold your Magic Rock in your hand. Close your fingers around it and feel it. Think of all the good things that have happened today. Choose the best good thing that happened and, feeling as grateful as you can, say “thank you, thank you, thank you“.

Hi Denise
Wonderful news…………..
That is exactly how giving thanks and gratitude works. Keep on being thankful and feeling grateful and watch how your circumstances will change.
Tomorrow’s magic practice is on how to take a negative situation and turn it into a positive one by not looking at the negatives but focusing on the positives. And look at you………………. Something positive coming out of a negative situation. Thanks for sharing.
And good luck with that 2 month contract. Keep on being thankful and giving thanks for that contract and let the magic of gratitude continue to work in your life.
Lots of love

What a great reminofder of how the Bible emphasise numerous times the importance of giving thanks. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says: “Give thanks in ALL circumstances; for tgithis is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus”.
I really want to share this Blessing I felt this morning. I am grateful and thankful for how the Universe is guiding us on our Journey. For unfolding and revealing our path, day by day, moment by moment. I feel that our journey, me, you, us, our life, our love, is a beautiful flower, slowly opening, petal by petal, in the light, love and energy of the universe.
I have a theory about why we should say “Thank you” three times. “Thank you, thank you, thank you”. The first “thank you” we say the words. The second “thank you” we think about what we are saying. The third “thank you” we feel the emotion of what we are saying. Emotions are an energy. Generate good energies and you will draw more good energies into your life. Gratitude and thankfulness are powerful energies. Celebrate, enjoy and be grateful for the good things in your life and you will attract more goodness into your life. Namasté.
