Amethyst keeping it RIEL

Why Amethyst keeping it RIEL?

“Riel” is the currency we use here in Cambodia and this new blog page is about Amethyst keeping it “real”.

Amethyst and Sapphire started this blog together to share their journey, adventures and experiences with everyone back home in South Africa.

Two different yet colourful balls of yarn, threaded together, to create a beautiful tapestry of weaved and intertwined experiences.

However along the way, as yarn sometimes does, the threads became thinner and thinner. Not able to withstand the pressure of the weavers heavy hands, the yarn broke and the beautiful tapestry began to unravel.

The weavers of this beautiful tapestry did their best to repair the tired threads. But knowing that these threads, although still very beautiful in their own ways, were not as strong together as before. The weavers, in order to save this unique and exquisite tapestry, separated the tired threads and began to weave two different, yet still beautiful separate tapestries.

Amethyst would love to share her new tapestry of her life, journey, adventures and experiences with you through this page, “Amethyst keeping it RIEL”.
