ADVENTURES OF THE DAY

Yes, you guessed right…. “It’s raining again”.  (Super Tramp).  Mandy needs to get to a “Karaoke” Bar as the lyrics continue to flow despite the fact that she is feeling a bit under the weather (excuse the PUN).

Now its Creedance Clear Water Revival and she wants to know, “Who’ll stop the rain”!

Long as I remember The rain been comin’ down.
Clouds of myst’ry pourin’ Confusion on the ground.
Good men through the ages, Tryin’ to find the sun;
And I wonder, Still I wonder, Who’ll stop the rain”

They decided to stay in today and out of the rain.  Mandy took to bed and doctored herself with Corenza C and Strepsils while Richard googled various trips and routes to take, for their next outing.

It clearly wasn’t Mandy’s day today. As they weren’t venturing out, she didn’t spray herself with insect repellent, so while “she lay sleeping” (Ronan Keatan) LOL, the little buggers had a field day leaving Mandy covered in bites – a few more “Thailand Tattoos”.

However, the Annie in Mandy remains Optimistic and yes there she goes again, singing,

“The sun will come out tomorrow,
Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow
There’ll be sun

Just thinkin’ about tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow
Till there’s none

When I’m stuck with a day that’s grey and lonely
I just stick up my chin and grin and say, oh

The sun will come out tomorrow
So you gotta hang on
’til tomorrow, come what may!
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya, tomorrow
You’re always a day away!

Richard now wishing for and remaining optimistic that they will find that elusive “Karaoke” bar soon.  LOL

While browsing the internet they came across a link to a Numerology website (https://video.numerologist.com) which was quite insightful. Given that their journey to Thailand is also one of Spiritual Enlightenment they were very interested in the Numerology statement that read Before you were born, your soul sent you a letterYou wrote it into the stars & the fabric of the universe. And that one could gain meaningful insights by numerically analyzing one’s date of birth and full birth name using specific formulae. This also related to a fantastic book they had both recently read, ‘A School Called Earth’ by Luis Miguel Falcao, courtesy of a good friend of theirs.

A School Called Earth is a book about our souls’ journey on earth and our purpose for being here. It explains that our souls plan our life on earth before we are born, in order to experience and learn certain lessons.

After providing their dates of birth and full birth names, the automated readings provided by the Numerology website rang astoundingly true for both of them on a number of different levels.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY

It wasn’t a very exciting day so no highlights as such, but Mandy who has been doing her bit to Market and Net Work received her first Face Book request from another South African, who has been living on Koh Samui for the past 10 years.

Also after receiving some info from her sister Michelle, she did some research on yet another South African living on Koh Samui, Jarred Rothwell (Son of Barry Rothwell who many of their readers will know from Old Obs/Woodstock days).  Jarred and 2 others will be running the entire way around Koh Samui (52 km) on 3rd May 2017, to raise money and awareness for kids living on Koh Samui with mental disabilities.

You can follow this event on https://www.instagram.com/3ninja_charity/

Richard and Mandy will most definitely be supporting this fund raiser. They were stiff from circling the island on a scooter, so can just imagine what an achievement it would be for anyone to complete this 52 km on foot.

In closing, they both remain optimistic that tomorrow will be a day of sunshine and exciting new ventures.
