INTERMEDIATE LEVEL

On this level of the program, the lessons are topic based. We teach new English vocabulary relating to various topics, basic English grammar, the main parts of speech and verb tenses.

Learning English using topics that learners are already familiar with, boosts the learners self confidence.

Lessons are presented using colourful, graphic and detailed PowerPoint presentations in a fun, interactive and stimulating way.

Topics include daily meals and routines, school, family, pets and places of interest.

Learners also learn more about themselves (what I look like, my personality, my hobbies and interests etc.).

Learners are taught how to answer ” yes” and “no” questions, “wh” questions and how to structure their answers in full complete sentences.

Exercises like “free talk time” are used to encourage English conversation.

There are interactive games to practice and related YouTube songs and videos to make learning easier.

After the initial topic based lessons, learners continue with the “At Home” series. In this series we teach new English vocabulary about the home and engage in English conversation about what happens in the home.

We also focus on simple and continuous verb tenses and the “verb to be”.

We read short stories to improve on reading and listening skills and encourage the use of expression and tone when reading. After reading a story, the learner answers comprehension questions using full complete sentences.

After successfully completing the Intermediate Level, learners are promoted to Advanced Level 1.
